About the Presenter
David J. Pfeffer's practice is directed toward serving the construction industry in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. David represents owners, design professionals and developers in matters ranging from project planning and contract preparation to dispute resolution. In addition to construction law, David maintains an active practice in contract law and commercial litigation.
David has significant experience in litigating matters in state and federal courts throughout the country and before various alternative dispute resolution tribunals. David's practice also focuses on project delivery strategies and the preparation and negotiation of design, construction and related contracts for private and public real estate development projects. David has gained recognition for formulating creative resolutions to complex disputes. His practice reflects his strengths in not only litigating and resolving cases, but also in providing legal counsel on a wide range of business and real estate issues.
As a litigator, he has represented a variety of corporations, owners, contractors, and design professionals. David has broad experience in prosecuting and defending construction and real estate related disputes, including design errors, mold and water infiltration claims, building failures, delay, acceleration and consequential damage claims, surety bond claims, insurance coverage disputes, lien and trust fund issues, bid protests and bid rigging, lease and ownership disputes, copyright claims and general contract matters.
