Detailed Description
Renovation is becoming an increasingly urgent issue for aging nursing facilities. Changing consumer expectations and growing competition from assisted living have made renovation a key to survival for many of these facilities. The problem is, of course, that the budget for any major environmental overhaul is usually lacking, especially when nursing home finances are under such tremendous pressure.Fortunately, an approach toward resolving this dilemma exists.
This presentation is led by inside expert Sandra Harris, who is noted for her understanding and development of creative and innovative design schemes that address the deficits associated with aging. Of particular note are her innovative concepts that embrace culture change, capture links to home, and encourage residents to function at their highest level possible for longer periods of time. Ms. Harris discusses the low-cost improvements and renovation concepts for nursing homes that address the increased expectations of patients and don't break the bank.
