Jane Butler is the founder and CEO of Vendome Group, and is responsible for overall strategy and growth. At Vendome, Ms. Butler is building upon her track record of success as an executive with a wide range of experience in professional and educational publishing, including the legal, regulatory, business and scientific markets.
In her prior role as CEO of Wolters Kluwer’s Aspen Publishers, Ms. Butler helped reposition the company, shifting it from a specialty print publisher to the third largest provider of proprietary print and online legal content in the United States. She led Aspen through its rapid expansion by building its marketing and sales organization, driving new product development and overseeing the acquisition of 18 businesses, including, most notably, the professional and law school divisions of Little, Brown and Company and John Wiley & Son’s Wiley Law.
Ms. Butler began her career at Macmillan Publishers, and later worked at Thomson’s Warren Gorham Lamont division, W.H. Freeman & Company, Academic Press, and R.R. Bowker.
Ms. Butler has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the City College of New York. |

Mark Fried is President of Vendome Group. He is responsible for the growth and development of Vendome’s Healthcare and Real Estate Divisions.
Prior to joining Vendome, Mr. Fried was the Director of Wolters Kluwer's CCH Tax & Accounting. In this role, he managed the publishing division, developing a vision and strategy for the growth of books, journals, newsletters, and online products. Mr. Fried played an integral role in growing the organization’s overall business by developing successful new products, and directing sales and marketing efforts.
Before working for Wolters Kluwer, Mr. Fried was Vice President of Hitchenor Maher International, and held executive-level positions with Colgate Palmolive Company, Time Warner, Inc., and Arthur Andersen LLP.
Mr. Fried is a graduate of New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he earned his Masters in Business Administration. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan. |

Bill Newberry, VP of Finance. Mr. Newberry has over 15 years of experience in the media and publishing industry. Joining Vendome in late 2007, Mr. Newberry is responsible for budgeting, forecasting and improving business analytics He has also managed the implementation of a new fulfillment and advertising billing system (Media Services Group) and coordinated the transition of payroll and human resource functions to ADP Totalsource.
Prior to working at Vendome, Mr. Newberry was a finance manager with Wolters Kluwer’s legal division where he was responsible for managing budgets, forecasts and financial reporting for multiple business units. He has also worked as finance and business manager for Northstar Travel Media, Newsweek Budget Travel and Newsweek magazine. Bill has a BS in management from Monmouth University and an MBA from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Ron Lowy is Vice-President of Vendome Group. He is responsible for business and product development for Vendome’s Healthcare Division.
Mr. Lowy's expertise in strategic planning across multiple marketing platforms has resulted in demonstrated success for business and consumer partners in the communication, manufacturing, insurance, automotive, technology, and healthcare industries. Most recently, Mr. Lowy was Publishing Director at Penton Media, which included leading the IndustryWeek team, the company's flagship brand. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lowy held Director and Publisher level positions with some of the most innovative media brands in North America.
A graduate of ECSU with a degree in Business Management, Mr. Lowy has been actively involved in two international non-profit industry organizations, holding Marketing Chairman and Board of Director positions within these groups. |
