Computerized physician/provider order entry has been lauded by many as a powerful tool to improve patient safety as well as the effectiveness of physicians using the system. It has also been criticized as not being able to live up to its potential, robbing physicians of time, and actually creating patient safety issues. Both proponents and antagonists agree the key to your CPOE strategy and success is getting support of the medical staff that will be using it. This recorded program gives you practical advice on how to secure and deliver appropriate physician participation for your CPOE.
