About Our Executive Team

Jane Butler is the founder and CEO of Vendome Group. Ms. Butler is responsible for Vendome’s overall strategy and management and for growing its revenues through marketing, product development and acquisitions.  At Vendome, Ms. Butler is building upon her track record of success as a long-time executive with a wide range of experiences in professional and educational publishing companies specializing in the legal, regulatory, business and scientific markets.

In her prior role as CEO of Wolters Kluwer’s Aspen Publishers, Ms. Butler helped to reposition the company, shifting it from a specialty print publisher to the third largest provider of proprietary print and online legal content in the United States.  She led Aspen through its rapid expansion by building its marketing and sales organization, driving new product development and overseeing the acquisition of 18 businesses, including, most notably, the professional and law school divisions of Little, Brown and Company and John Wiley & Son’s Wiley Law.

Ms. Butler began her career at Macmillan Publisher and later worked at Thomson’s Warren Gorham Lamont, W.H. Freeman & Company, Academic Press and R.R. Bowker.

Ms. Butler graduated Cum Laude from City College of New York.
